Dr. Carlson received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Dakota in 2005. She earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology (American Psychological Association-accredited) from Indiana University in 2015. Welcome to Connections Psychotherapy &Wellness! We provide a range of services to help you gain the insight and skills to make meaningful changes in your life. Our providers offer a variety of approaches to help individuals, couples, and families meet their goals.

In addition to psychological services, we offer trainings and lectures on a variety of mental health and sexuality-related topics.

We believe that all people hold within themselves the strength and knowledge to make changes in their lives. We believe our job is to help our clients find that strength and knowledge and develop the skills to use them.

What to Expect:

We strive to provide an atmosphere that is safe, supportive, respectful, and confidential. Professionalism, mutual respect, and confidentiality are the foundation of our practice. We believe the relationship between therapist and client is one of utmost importance. We work with people from a variety of backgrounds, life experience, spiritual beliefs, cultural heritage, sexual orientations, family structures, and ages. You can expect a therapist who is open and free of judgment.

We welcome clients of all genders, all sexualities, all erotic orientations, all spiritual beliefs and practices, and all relational models (e.g., monogamous, non-monogamous, polyamorous). We specialize in serving the LGBTQ+ community, including people with disabilities, Indigenous, Immigrant, and People of Color. We provide services to those across the lifespan.
